My great pilgrimage group from the St. Pius X Church, Montville, New Jersey, the USA.
Tour of Warsaw – the second day.
We are in the Old Town Market Square at the mermaid statue. This mythological creature is one of the symbols of Warsaw and the Warsaw official coat of arms. The actual coat of arms is in the picture in my hand. The mermaid is depicted as a woman with a fish tail. However the mermaid images had been changing during ages what is to be seen on the door of the Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
There is one common feature for all mermaids from the Middle Ages till today…What is it?
