When? On the 17th of October, in the anniversary of Fryderyk Chopin’s death.
Where? In the Holy Cross Church in Krakowskie Przedmieście Street No 3, where Chopin’s heart is buried.
Why? According to Chopin’s final wish Mozart’s Requiem was performed at Chopin’s funeral service on the 30th of October 1849 at the Church of the Madeleine in Paris.
I hope that every year on the 17th of October in the late evening hours the pianist’s heart “is touched”… This year’s concert commemorated the 169th anniversary of Chopin’s death. I recommend this cultural event when you will be in Warsaw on this day. It leaves a mark on you! The entrance is free and no reservation is requested.
