“Landscape with the Good Samaritan” by Rembrandt in Warsaw!
You can admire this masterpiece of landscape in the Palace on the Isle in the Royal Łazienki Park (Royal Baths Park) Museum until 05.05.2019. The “Landscape with the Good Samaritan” belongs to the Czartoryski Princes’ collections and is permanently put on display in Kraków.

We do have in Poland 3 indisputable Rembrandt’s masterpieces. “The Girl in a Picture Frame” and “The Scholar at the Lectern” are connected to the last elected Polish king’s collection, Stanisław August Poniatowski and Lanckoroński’s family and they were gifted the Royal Castle in Warsaw by Karolina Lanckorońska.

The Royal Łazienki Museum invites to the lectures that accompany the exhibition of the painting “Landscape with the Good Samaritan”. I attended the first lecture held by the Bishop Professor Michał Janocha on Iconography and Theology. You can listen to the lecture in Internet.

The theme of The Good Samaritan inspired and still is inspiring many artists. One of them was an “expert on sunflowers”, Van Gogh. “The Good Samaritan” by Van Gogh is presented in the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo in the Netherlands.
